I am bilingual (English/Spanish) and I hold a Master of Science Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Lee University. Currently I have a temporary license to practice Marriage and Family Therapy in the state of Tennessee. In Tennessee, a graduate from an accredited program must practice therapy under the supervision of a fully licensed marriage and family therapist for the duration of two years postmasters. This rule serves as a protection to clients and continued professional development for therapists.
I have additional training in EMDR therapy, which is a specialized training to more rapidly treat PTSD, Addictions, Couples Relationships, Anxiety, Depression and more! Please see EMDR under Therapy Services page for more information.
I am also under supervision for Play Therapy which is the therapy for children ages 4-12.
Additionally, I have training in Medical Marriage & Family Therapy, which enables me, with client’s written consent, to use a team approach networking with your doctor as needed for effective treatment. For families with children who have developmental delays, my work at Siskin Children’s Family Developmental Therapy Center has given me experience and training working collaboratively with families and their physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists and developmental pediatrician.
